A stunning indictment of the status quo. Fateh won with DeWayne delegates, he won with Jazz delegates, and he won with undecideds. Team Frey could only delay and disrupt. But they didn't have the people. A brighter future for Minneapolis is on the ballot — right under "DFL" ✊

I appreciated Richard saying this, but I would take it a step further: If you are a Democrat triggered still by the word socialist — a term with almost no practical meaning in its common use — you are, in fact, working for the other side.

This is exactly what we were telling people on the floor, and lots of DeWayne supporters agreed. I hope this inspires all candidates to fight harder for our city. Frey can only win if the public isn’t engaged.

Actual text from an out-of-state friend in finance. Omar Fateh is already warding off extractive profiteers and ridding our city of wasteful parking. And he’s not even mayor yet!

In 2021, it had more to do with disorganized opposition and the general shell shock the city was experiencing. Many people probably believed Frey deserved the benefit of the doubt and could still lead us out of hard times — something only an idiot could possibly think now.

Yes, it would be a disaster if we elected a Democrat who presided over mass police resignations, multiple public safety disasters, a growing homeless population, and the closure of countless small businesses. OH WAIT. The absolute hubris (and dishonesty) of this jackass.

This is exactly what we feared. Just like in Uvalde, even when they were (somewhat commendably) on site, our heavily militarized police failed to intervene to disable the shooter or rescue victims. It seems highly possible Speaker Hortman bled out while police cowered outside.

I like Jazz but he needs to know wtf he’s talking about before popping off on fiscal responsibility and campaigning on the property tax complaints of wealthy homeowners. This is just hollow conservative messaging. Note how he says “$1.9 billion” without any context or point?

The right knows that the more they underfund and undermine public institutions, the worse those institutions will function and the harder they will be to defend. We need to reverse this cycle by investing in and improving basic needs like schools, transit, and healthcare.
