I left at 57. When I think about it for too long, I feel disappointed I didn't make it to 60. But 18 months of C19 did for me. After 18 years of headship (36 GCSE & A Level results days & set 18 budgets during terrible funding cuts) I was done. I wdn't have made 60 had I stayed.

🔴The proportion of A and A*s fell to 36.4%, from a record 44.8 per cent in 2021. However, this was still higher than 2019, when 25.5% of grades were A or A*

Just watched this again. I can't believe how much of this I still parrot; not sure anything has had so much impact upon how I think about how we improve the quality of teaching. Absolute gold dust & worth 40 minutes of your time this weekend. Dylan Wiliam youtube.com/watch?v=wKLo15…

Is someone going to tell Rishi that he’s not in charge of British education (and there’s already a Welsh Baccalaureate)? I’ll do the call if no one else is brave enough…

WARNING. THIS IS A SCAM BY CRIMINALS TRYING TO STEAL MONEY. PLS SHARE. This is frightening, it's the first deep fake video scam I've seen with me in it. Govt & regulators must step up to stop big tech publishing such dangerous fakes. People'll lose money and it'll ruin lives.
