On Monday afternoon we had an outdoors afternoon to focus on Article 31-I have a right to relax and play. There we six stations set up around the playground giving the children opportunities to rest, relax and play 😁

Tuesday was a very busy day! So busy we didn’t get any pictures! 😩 Thank you very much to Emma and James for the Rugby sessions 🏉 and also to the First Aiders for our mini first aid assemblies ⛑️

Wednesday was another exciting day at Edzell! We had Lauren in school running netball taster sessions for all of our classes and James and David from the British Red Cross working with P5 and P6 🏐⛑️

Some great ideas and feedback from our learners today about their ADHD workshop 🧠

Our learners really enjoying the input today from Dundee and Angus ADHD support group. They were finding out about the work of the support group and thinking about what they understand about ADHD 🧠⭐️

Big shout out to Harriet and Rachel from Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group adhddasupport.org who delivered an excellent workshop for all our learners about the work of the Support Group and got everyone thinking about what they know and understand about ADHD! Thank you ⭐️

Wow what a busy day Thursday was during our Rights and Health Week! 🤩 ADHD workshops 🧠 Football ⚽️ Dance 💃 Autism workshops 🧠 An excellent day for all our learners and still one more to come this week 😁

Thank you to Anne from Big Breath Little Breath Mindfulness for Kids for coming along to do some Mindfulness workshops with all our learners today! Really positive feedback from the children and great breathing techniques we would like to try in the playground 🙂

Thank you to Kirsten from the SSPCA for delivering a variety of workshops today for all our learners about animal welfare 🐇 🐦 Kirsten started off the morning with a whole school assembly.

P1 and P2/3 had a Rabbit Rescuers workshops and P3/4 had an Animals and Us workshop

P5&6 had an Animal Adventurers workshop outside in the afternoon making decisions about hope to keep animals safe 🐶 🐦🐇

James our Active Schools Co-ordinator and the P6’s held a sports festival in the playground for the P1’s. This was helping our P6’s complete their Young Leaders Training ⭐️ 🏃‍♀️

Wow! Another very busy day and the final day of our Rights and Health week! We had SSPCA workshops, Mindfulness sessions and a Young Leaders Festival in the playground! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have had so much positive feedback this week from the children, the staff and all the visitors to the school! Our first Rights and Health week has been a great success 😁⭐️
