Return to Silent Hill not a great movie but a decent reinterpretation of the second game. Very overcomplicated and rough in places, yet still enjoyable. Think of it as a “what if” story. We already have two amazing games so this version still has a right to exist. 7/10

Let’s talk about “canonical” live-action game adaptations. Why do we expect the exact same thing all over again? If the core of the story is there and the movie is made with real effort I honestly don’t care. let it be ffs.

as a lifelong fan of silent hill, there are things I enjoyed and things I disliked about return to silent hill. overall, I like the movie because my general experience watching the film is positive and it’s as simple as that. be kind to others. we’re all in the same fandom!
