After traveling the state today surveying damage, I ended by visiting my ranch where we lost everything to the fires. It’s a sad garden update today. Oklahomans, we are in this together and we will build back stronger. #okwx

Our technician assessed the damage from the Lake Carl Blackwell site today and shared these photos. As we've seen in past fires, most of the damage was limited to sensors and cabling near the ground. We aim to have the site fully operational as soon as possible. #okwx #okmesonet

Strong winds! Seymour 3NW gusted to 106mph at 7:08pm CDT. After inspecting the raw 5-Hz data collected by the station and radar imagery, the strong winds appeared to be caused by the rear flank downdraft as the storm passed to the north of the mesonet. Storm season is here! #txwx
