I didn’t think I'd get this far with my first foray into semi-professional writing, but looks like somebody liked "The Warden and The Familiar" enough to give me a contract. I can’t wait to see my story when it's published.

This is pretty good writing advice whether you're just starting out or are an old hand. While it's natural to stay in your comfort zone, reading other genres can help develop new ideas for future tales. Plus, a little variety in your literary diet is always a good thing.
