Tomorrow the #G20 event in #Bali will start. World leaders will walk over this new board walk through a #mangrove forest close by the venue. Millions of seedlings will be sent all over 🇮🇩 for #rehabilitation of degraded mangroves. I had the privilege to check the venue out .,1/2

One of key highlights of the B20South Africa events was the exchange on facilitating #greeninvestment to developing countries like 🇮🇩 so that #sustainablecommodities, #landscapes & jurisdictions can flourish while #environmentalprotection is ensured. Grateful to be part of this.

Pak #Sarwono, we are deeply sad to hear that you are no longer with us. The late Pak #SarwonoKusumaatmadja was #Minister of #Environment, & Minister of #Marine Affairs and #Fisheries of #Indonesia. He was a guru of #sustainability, & I consider him as one of great mentors.

So happy to meet these two inspiring leaders in the #environmental, #sustainability, #climatechange & #food sectors, Dr Edward Davey & HE Moazzam Malik, when I visited their World Resources Institute office in London a couple of months ago. Learning a lot from them.

And in Singapore in June, discussing #sustainableagriculture & #ESG in #agribusiness with the plant science industry has led to new ideas of partnership between different partners. One would hope this can lead to scalable #investments & supporting the livelihood of #farmers.

For two meaningful days, I have contributed as a panelist at Ubud Food Festival 2025 2023 last month, discussing #soil & its importance in our #food system, #culture, #economy, and civilization as a whole. A great sharing among food enthusiasts and soil experts.
