I have some devastating news from the Sloth Institute. Their sloths were literally taken by gunpoint by the CR government and transferred to an unethical zoo (there is a paper trail) in the U.S. with a place in CR. Some of the sloths already died -- these are not well sloths

I was once this little girl. Separated from my Dad and white adults wouldn’t help me. It was at night. It was dark. I was not safe. I told them I was lost. It was a Black woman who helped me get home. This hurts so much to see today.

Late 20th century TV has a bunch of moments like this where the characters meet a trans person (usually trans fem), their identity is a minor "twist," and then the characters are, like, "Well, that's cool for you! Great!" Plenty of shitty jokes, too. But also moments like this.
