One of Dublin’s finest stair halls can be found at Newman House, 86 St. Stephen’s Green, home to MoLI – Museum of Literature Ireland. Most likely designed by Robert West c.1765, it features late Rococo decoration unusually incorporated in a groin vault, and a Portland and black stone chequered floor.
