"What do I desire?" He leans forward. "I desire power."

He simply kept staring for a few moments after she turned away. He feels as if he just won something, and totally misunderstood the situation.

And that was when Lars' features hardened and his eyes slowly turned cold. He disliked being judged, but he would play along. Leaning back in his chair, he would prop his feet up on his table and cross his arms, summing her up.

That was the moment his eyes locked with hers, but he didn't return the smirk. Instead, he would simply tilt his head forward by a bit, and return it to its previous position. Though, his eyes did narrow ever so slightly.

Returning his feet to the floor, the Stormcloak would lean forward and place his elbows on his knees. His eyes never left hers. "Judgement. I am not fond of it."

| Lemme actually go and do that quest, so I know what the hell to do, and I'll be back.

"I was around, and have been around for quite some time.." He didn't offer a straight answer, due to his lack of trust with anyone, let alone the woman before him.

His right brow slightly twitched, but otherwise his expression didn't change. "I am," he said with a lighthearted tone, contradicting his expression enitrely.

"I'm afraid I haven't had the pleasure." Lars leaned back, no longer seeing the need to lean forward. However, he kept a hand close to his blade.. "Your friend must belong to another battalion."

Noticing the smile, and her words, Lars returned the shrug with one of his own. He was always on guard; especially since he was, well.. him. He expected the worst out of everything. "That may be, but some of the others may not hold the same intentions."

"Fear is something that one can attain easily, some more so than others. So, tell me, who are /you/?" Lars leaned forward once more, his expression still remaining the same as his eyes held interest in them. "I am Lars Dragons-Blood."

Nodding in understanding, the Stormcloak would tilt his head back and stare at the ceiling for a moment. After that, his gaze settled on Karen once more. "I see," is all he said.

Stretching out his sword arm, the warrior would soon grasp her hand and give it a firm shake. Pulling it back, he allowed his hand to remain near his swords hilt once more. He never knew when a fight was coming. "Aye, you as well."

Lars would only nod to what she had to say, and despite what he showed, he appreciated it. "I shall see you whenever our paths cross again, Karen."
