The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama told its staff today that it is axeing its junior department at the end of this term. Almost 200 children study there on saturdays. That will all stop in July. This is not rich kids playing expensive instruments. One of them texted...

The Petitions Committee of the Welsh Senedd today discussed the proposed closure of the Young Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, following the collection of 10,000 signatures opposing the plan. One member spoke about preserving Wales's place as a global centre of music:
