Congrats to our USC J-school Live TV Sports Production class for their successful broadcast of this past weekend's Gamecock Softball game. These students - all fresh. and soph. - learned all semester about putting on a live broadcast, and then crushed it during their final on SECN+

Good luck to Ben Portnoy on his new gig. He did a great job covering Gamecock Football for The State Newspaper and was always available to guest speak in our USC J-school sports media classes. Our students are better because of his insights.

Last week I attend the AEJMC conference presented one of my favorite assignments: the Locomotives Social Media Plan from my Social Media for Sports Media class. It was especially rewarding to have it honored with AEJMC Sports Communication Interest Group's first ever "Great Idea For Teaching" award.
