Numbers are hard to grasp. But this? This is a tribute, a memorial, a work of art, and puts concept to a number. nytimes.com/interactive/20…

As my birthday draws to a close, I’m grateful for my health and my family. There were no candles on my birthday cake this year. But how gross is it to have someone exhale/spit all over a cake shared by multiple people? How did that even become a tradition? #birthday #coronavirus

Several years ago, my father and I spent a week operating together and saving lives in Honduras. I will always treasure that experience. #HappyFathersDay

I am about to consume this juicy bag of berries. Chance of spelling berry juice down the front of my scrubs? 100%. Bring it on you delicious snack.

Thank you to the Dept of Surgery's Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (led by Dr. Shelby Holt) for putting together the first cultural competency M&M this month. Excellent conversations about how we can all learn and be better #surgeons, #mentors, and colleagues.

As night approaches- just remember YOU ARE NEVER ALONE. If you don't know what to do, call a senior or attending for help. If a patient is doing poorly, call a rapid response. If you need immediate group assistance, don't doubt, just call a code blue. #TipsForNewDocs

I’ve always had trouble interpreting EKG findings. Thankfully, I get it now. #SportsMedicine #Orthopedics #orthotwitter #MedTwitter

Today we honor our country. I would ask that we also spend today honoring each other. We are Americans. No matter our differences, we are all going through this. We can be stronger together. #4thofJuly2020 #IndependenceDay #4thofJuly #America

I suppose if I have to work late today, getting to watch 6 different fireworks shows from my office is a pretty good consolation prize. #July4th

This is the story of the only operation ever described with a 300% mortality rate. That’s right-a single surgery that killed 3 people. amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/26…

I don’t have words. The board exam is the single most important achievement in a surgeon’s life. You’ve literally spent 9+ yrs studying and training. To find out in the last moment hat you can’t sit for your test. My deepest sympathy to class of 2020. Shame on you ABS
