.Dana Nessel had everything thrown at her this election - all of it unfair and an attempt to misrepresent her candor, authenticity, and sense of humor. But Dana is not a quitter. She worked hard and in the end, she beat her opponent by 3x the margin she did in 2018. Congrats!

It is truly great news that the US government is starting to take the measurement of sexual orientation & gender identity seriously. But it must be said that this document is at least two decades too late. SOGI measurement remains a rarity on US federal surveys. That must change.

🇳🇿 New Zealand is including questions about gender, sexuality and intersex people in its national Census for the first time. 🏳️‍🌈 This year’s national survey will include the new questions to aid advocacy for LGBTQ+ people on the same footing as other Kiwis.

If American civil strife resulted in proportionally the same number of deaths as what Ross Douthat referred to as the "lower-grade" strife of Northern Ireland's Troubles, 770,000 Americans would lose their lives. Lower-grade? Another American clueless about the world. New York Times Opinion
