Great opportunity to do a PhD at Warwick, supervised by Guido van Meersbergen and David Lambert (both excellent)!

I’m very grateful to Bodleian Libraries for a visiting fellowship in women’s history (!) over 24-25. I’ve spent the past month in their rich #antiapartheid archives, developing a new project on SA writers in Britain. Feeling relieved to have the time, space & encouragement to write.

Publication week! 🎉 THE EDGE OF THE ALPHABET by Janet Frame Fitzcarraldo Editions seen in the wild Foyles Bookshop 🎉

My talented colleague Noreen Masud has had her brilliant and beautiful book, A Flat Place, nominated for a National Book Token readers award! Please consider voting for her 🙏 nationalbooktokens.com/readers-awards

So very sad to hear this news. I had the huge pleasure of meeting Fleur in Oxford in late June at a wonderful symposium on Janet Frame organised by Emma Parker #nzlit
