Crucial information missing in Elle Macpherson breast cancer story, experts warn | Breast cancer | The Guardian theguardian.com/society/articl…

The Elle Macpherson breast cancer story gets even more confusing. In this article a surgeon said she had 2 operations to remove DCIS or Stage 0 cancer. She as offered a mastectomy because the margin weren't clear. She would NOT have been offered chemotherapy for non-invasive

This seems timely to retweet 👇👇👇 You can have evidence-based medicine *and* focus on wellness. But please don't jettison recommended treatments in favour of 'wellness' alone. It doesn't end well. 💔

Elle MacPherson did have DCIS. She was interviewed on 60 mins Australia last night It was DCIS. She said in US she was told it was aggressive and she needed chemo (v v different to UK and Oz treatment) She saw 32 people (didn't say whether they were doctors or naturopaths)

Great editorial. Access to government-funded fertility services should have absolutely nothing to do with your sexuality. smh.com.au/healthcare/dis…

“Abortion bans will kill women” was never hysterical, hyperbolic, or fear-mongering. It was simply a fact. This is one of the first stories of a death that could have been prevented had the gov’t not gotten between a woman & her doctor - but it will absolutely not be the last.
