Interesting talk Clinton Gibbs. Use of point of care INR check in the pre-hospital setting. If elevated trigger for administration of Fibrinogen Concentrate. #TraumaANZ

Eager to try the suprainguinal approach to fascia Iliaca block taught at the recent ACEM ASM regional workshop. Tip: Use a 3 way tap with saline + local when learning the block so you can inject saline to see if you're in the right tissue plane asra.com/news-publicatiโ€ฆ

A novel use for the cervical collar. At a recent pre-hospital case I was involved with I was shown this clever makeshift knee splint by one of the SOT paramedics. Worked well to stabilise the patella post reduction of the dislocation (prior to being winched out). #FOAMed

Interesting day at the Gosford awake fibreoptic intubation course-highly recommend. I'll be oozing empathy for patients the next time I do nasal endoscopy on them in the ED/retrieval setting.

Currently on a helimed shift and reading the articles about #HEMS back home ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช. Thanks to those advocating My thoughts (worked for 5 services) 1. The gold standard model is doctor-paramedic. The primary cost is the platform. Adding a physician is relatively minor in comparison
