Thank you Dr Sarah Goodwin, Prof Dillon & Prof Banks for the invite to Sheffield Hallam University to share our Partnership research & screen our film ‘Inside Out’ looking at the journey of Muslim women through the CJS. We were commended for our ‘insightful yet uncompromising’ work.

Dr Bradley, Layla (lived Exp) and I delivered training to the West Yorkshire Police- Senior Leadership Forum yesterday. This included sharing our research & film on Muslim women coming through the CJS & discussions on cultural and trauma-informed practice.

We very much look forward to receiving our guests in London this evening in partnership with Islamic Relief UK for the ‘Inside Out’ research and film sharing event. We hope this will be just as impactful as our initial launch at Leeds Beckett University.

We were excited to showcase the work of Dr Sofia Buncy MBE DL & our #InsideOut research & film alongside partners in London yday. Our women were so incredibly brave in sharing their lived experiences. We are extremely encouraged by the warm feedback which we have received from attendees.

This is the first time the film screened in London. Dr Sofia Buncy MBE DL spoke of the 'shame & dishonour' accompanying Muslim women's experiences of the prison system. New research will look into the push & pull factors influencing young Muslim girls entering the CJS Barrow Cadbury Trust 🧡
