Excited to see our new paper published in AJHG. We release R package r2redux that allows formal statistical comparison of two polygenic score models, providing the 95% confidence interval and significance of R2 difference. authors.elsevier.com/c/1gUCageX6KJk…

1. r2redux can do a statistical test for comparing non-nested models, like Vuong test (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vuong%27s…).

2. r2redux can also do a statistical test for nested models, like LRT (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Likelihoo…). 3. R-based test (i.e. using correlation, not R^2) can provide biased statistical test for comparing polygenic score models whether they are nested or non-nested.

"For obesity, the estimated genetic correlation between African and European ancestry cohorts is significantly different from unity, suggesting that obesity is genetically heterogenous between these two ancestries."
