SOAR just celebrated it’s 9-month birthday in orbit and was developed and launched by our industrial and academic partners GomSpace The University of Manchester @ElecnorDeimos MullardSpaceScience

SOAR was designed to investigate aerodynamics in the very low Earth orbit (VLEO) environment and to help identify materials that can reduce the drag experienced by satellites at these lower altitudes: youtu.be/zQOzqJ3-aYY

The data collected during the mission is being analysed by our team and will be used to develop a new generation of Earth observation and communications satellites that can orbit closer to the Earth at lower cost! youtu.be/UVl5PzvFxlI
