It's a celebration! The selective implementation of the Electoral Act is invalid and unconstitutional, there will be no election in Namibia without a paper trail as from 21 March 2020.

4. The decision further reaffirms the principle that no person or organ of government is above the law. #ThePresidentialChallenge

9. It was therefore important that the court found that the election was not conducted in terms of the principles set down in Part V of the Electoral Act and therefore unlawful.

10. From the court's decision that the conduct of the election was unlawful it necessarily follows that its outcome or result is unlawful. And in principle it further follows that if the result was unlawful, it cannot stand: it should be set aside.
