Finally opened our lovely Nikolaihof 2010 Grüner Veltliner (bottled 2018) after visiting two years ago at the end of the Vienna @wineecon. It’s one of THE old school biodynamic producers and the result is an lovely, unhurried expression of the energy and purity of GV.

Okay, here we go: 1987 South Coast Muscat, tasted June 2015. Medium amber colour, hazy, in part brown. Beautiful floral nose, honeyed peach preserve, lime peel honey - after all those years. A touch spirited. Sweet, almost luscious, candied orange peel, long date&fig finish.
