The heavily scented Hedychium chrysolecum now in flower. The scent is at its best on a warm day and at night. 6’+ tall, vigorous and robust and definitely one of our favourites 👌

Took some pics last night, after dark, of a few gingers still flowering. Hedychiums chrysolecum, ‘assam orange’ and ‘Tara’ and Cautleya ‘Crüg compact’.

Hedychium ‘Devon Cream’. One of the last gingers to flower for us but always a firm favourite.

Brugmansia arbovulsa ‘Artus’. This one stayed out all winter. It seems to be root hardy and has put on neatly 5’ of growth this season. The downside is we’ll only get one flush of flowers ♥️

Farfugium japonicum ‘Shishi Botan’ with its parsley like leaves. The emerging leaves have this fantastic pink colouring.
