I had such a great time at the @DOMPS_symposium these last two days! Thanks to Sophie Farkas and Zeinab Noura and the Kleine-Vehn Lab for organizing!

The most important part of a conference is the coffee break. Our two amazing bachelor students helped us immensely. They were running around for twelve hours on both days. Thank you Nicolas and Caro, we cannot express in words how grateful we are to have you! :)🍕

I'm lucky, that I could be part of the 1st @DOMPS_symposium. I'm proud that with Zeinab Noura we were able to pull this off. And I'm grateful for all the help from our group Kleine-Vehn Lab, the money we got from sponsors, the help from our secretaries on how to spend that money.

Our symposium is starting! Preceded by an official introduction, we have David Spencer talking about how to communicate science to the public!

After lunch, we are now having our first poster speed dating session and discussing the research projects with each other🧐

Last event of the day: We discussed interesting topics about lab/life in several round table sessions occurring in parallel.

We started the second symposium day with full energy. Firstly we have collaboration brainstorming workshop. People are talking about their special skills and looking for potential collaborations in the future!

Sustainability matters. Valeria from Heidelberg is giving us the second workshop ☺️

One of the most amazing sessions of the symposium. We had a lot of fun visiting wine research institute in Freiburg.

On the third day we are very excited to have Alexis as keynote speaker talking about lateral root formation using really cool cell biology!

We had full of plant science today!Different groups presented their research and we are ready for more interaction in the future!
