On the way back to the bus, we took the time to watch the birds on the lake and also to look down through the planks of the bridge. What amazing memories we have all made! Who is going to visit the park again with their family?

This week, Y1 were excited to see that frogspawn had arrived in the classroom.The children were extremely curious and started to observe closely straight away! We are all eager to observe any changes that may occur, linking nicely to the theme of ‘growth’ for #BritishScienceWeek.

Today, during our Remembrance Service, Y2LD read their class acrostic poem all about the soldiers’ efforts during the war. They were very confident, when speaking in front of the whole school, and enjoyed showing everybody their poppy wreaths and art work.⭐️

What a fantastic week we have all had in Y2LD! From dragons invading our classroom during English and leaving two dragon eggs behind, to travelling back to the Victorian times in History. We can’t wait to continue our new learning for Spring 2 next week. Well Done Y2LD! ⭐️

Today, the EYFS and KS1 children have been visited by ‘White Watch’ from Crewe Fire Station as part of British Science Week. The nursery children explored the fire engine first, whilst Reception and KS1 learned all about fire safety.Thank you so much for visiting us.🚒 #BSW2023

What a wonderful way to round off the academic year! After a year and a half of hard work and a final assessment, I passed my NPQ in Senior Leadership. Thanks to Teacher Development Trust and our fantastic facilitators Andrea Bean and John Collier for all of the support along the way.

Today my daughter turns 21. Half of my life spent doing the best job in the world. Counting my blessings. 🍾🍾

Y1LD have worked extremely hard on their Easter bonnets and egg dioramas at home. We can’t wait to take part in the Easter parade. 🐣 🐰 ✝️

Eco Club were extremely busy, on Friday after school!We got straight into cleaning up our environment, by brushing up any loose litter.We then planted up the beautiful flowers that we had chosen, before placing them around the school grounds for our school community to enjoy.🌸

Y1LD have all been extremely busy practising their measuring skills this morning, using the correct unit of measure. They all remembered to start from zero too! 🌟 📏

Another busy session for ‘Eco Club’.We are trying to attract the bees with all of the beautiful flowers we are planting.The fun didn’t stop after the children left either. Myself, Miss Prophett and Mr Lambe got straight onto painting, in order to enhance the outdoor environment.

What a brilliant time we had celebrating World Bee Day! The children learned lots of interesting facts about bees, including how they make their wax and honey. We were lucky enough to explore real honeycomb first hand, thanks to Winsford Salt Mines.We even tried some honey too!
