I finally got a video of one of my Nerite snails laying an egg!!!

Just spent the last 2 days working in this heat (with help) to take down my awnings and build and put up these two pergolas and I love them! (brand is Mirador sold at Costco for a great price if anyone is interested)

It was so hot that a vulture came and sat on my fence watching us, hoping one of us would drop from the heat and be lunch.

We're all trying to find the guy who did this

This is my new Mbuna tank. They like to dig in the sand and rearrange the tank. This dude has staked his claim on this area and has been busy excavating a nice cave for himself.

Got some new friends today. Orange Poso Rabbit Snails. I think they are so cute!!

My dude snacking on an algae wafer. The two sticky-outy things are his antenna, the black dots are his eyes. Then there's his big schnoz with his tiny mouth and the lighter orange part is his foot.

One of my rabbit snails had a bebe overnight. It's about 1/4" long. They have live babies, one every couple of weeks, and don't lay eggs like many other snails. Zoom in and look at his cute little face!

I found this birding book along the side of the road on the Tamiami trail in the Everglades on 8/25/25. It is so well loved with sightings going back decades. If you're a birder (I am not) please spread the word and hep me find the owner so they can be reunited
