I’m mixed & swam all my life as my Black mother couldn’t and didn’t want her kids to be the same. I now run an adult swim school where 90% of swimmers are Black women & I am director of a CIC that runs free lessons in W. London for kids & women. A few observations:

“Wokeness is not the reason we don’t have affordable housing” had them gagged omg 💀💀💀

This expands out in to SO many industries as well. People arent being nurtured anymore. Everything is about numbers numbers numbers and you need to have them yourself in a lot of instances. This then narrows the gap for other people to get in.

Went to watch Pig Heart Boy at Unicorn Theatre 2 weekends ago and it was SO good!! The set design, lighting, storytelling, sound engineering, the physical theatre and acting were all incredible and it was so much fun! Def recommend- especially for Black children! 10/10!!
