BREAKING Trayon white charge is bribery. Alleges this summer he accepted 156k in cash payments to use position as chair of committee on recreation, libraries and youth affairs to have several DC contracts extended. There is video evidence. Heading into court now. #Fox5DC

UPDATE: Hearing just ended. White to be released with conditions he not leave country and notify court if he leaves 50 mile radius of DC. Next court hearing is Sept. 19. Defense Attorney waived preliminary hearing.

A memo sent by Phil Mendelson assigns Kenyan McDuffie (who led the committee investigating former CM Jack Evans) to lead the Ad Hoc Committee now looking into Trayon White’s criminal bribery charge & new residency concerns. They have until Dec. 16th to file a report. FOX 5 DC
