Why do firecrackers bring joy to people? It literally sounds like there is a war going on outside. I wonder how this industry even flourished. Rockets, I still understand why people would like but the ones that just make gun shot sounds - why them?

'Top colleges' themselves are in shambles. What they are going to do with more defunct colleges is something I cannot understand. I think the goal has now become to have good-looking values on cherry-picked indicators to propagate the false narrative of progress.
