Thrilled to share our new preprint on detecting the nematic orientation field on surfaces of 3D multicellular systems! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Huge thanks to all authors: Toby Andrews, Joe Pollard, Rashmi Priya @rashmi-priya.bsky.social, Alpha Yap & Richard G. Morris ! Any 3D system?

Mtb release from phagosome needs virulence factor ESAT6 at low surface densities inserts in mem,⬇️tension & changes phagosome membrane curvature. ESAT6 polymerization⬆️vesiculation rate. Direct contact➡️diffusion barrier+host mem. local phase separation. Saleem Mohammed NISER #MSS2025

Very excited to share our latest work on Phagosomal disruption by Mycobacterial virulence secretory factor ESAT-6 through membrane fission driven by polymerization forces. It was unwavering support of Saleem Mohammed for the guidance and motivation. cell.com/cell-reports/p…

Happy to share the recent work from the lab led by a brilliant graduate student Debraj Koiri and all co-authors. Great collaboration with Sandeep Choubey. Thanks to DBT/WT India Alliance and NISER for the support.

Out now in Journal of Biological Chemistry! doi.org/10.1016/j.jbc.… We took a deep dive into the special molecular grammar of hnRNPA1-RGG that causes it to bind and help destabilize teleomeric RNA and DNA GQ. Kudos to Sangeetha, Irawati and Rajeswari for their creativity and unrelenting efforts.

New publication from our group SoftBio Colloids Lab led by Vivien Willems. Check the group Twitter thread about it below👇 Very excited to get this work published! A step forward on active soft microsystems Thanks to all the colleagues who made this happen! @crpp Université de Bordeaux

New prepint w/ Demian Levis ignacio pagonaba Soft Materials and Interfaces (Prof. Lucio Isa) and E.Sesé-Sansa. We study active binary mixtures to unveil how two populations with different velocities interact with each other. Thanks for the great work!🥳 arxiv.org/abs/2506.15188

Complex Fluid 2025 meeting announcement, IISc Bangalore campus. Also, do not forget to register for the pre-conference workshops. Gaurav Tomar (MechEngg) and I are putting together the "Computation and Modelling of Complex Fluids" hands-on modules for students/trainees.

Such an amazing work! Well deserved Cristian Villalobos ✨

onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pr… Out in Protein Science proteinsociety! Tremendous effort from Irawati who just graduated and ably supported by Rajeswari. Given the nature of analyses, we have dedicated this work to our beloved Late Prof. N. Srinivasan Molecular Biophysics Unit, IISc IISc Bangalore !!
