I don’t know if you are aware of this. There is a Walk for Peace happening across America. They are currently in Mississippi. Unfortunately, one of the Buddhist monks was hit by a vehicle and had lost his leg in the process.

Unsure who the original poster is (3 possibilities at end) sharing due to importance: " When monks leave their monasteries to walk for peace, it’s not symbolic, it’s a warning. They don’t seek attention. They don’t ask for power. They walk only when the world is out of balance.

When monks leave their monasteries to walk for peace, it's not symbolic, it's a warning‼️ They carry nothing but what's given to them‼️ The fact that Buddhist monks are walking for peace in America should make us all pause‼️ This is serious‼️

I haven't seen a single post on my timeline about the #WalkForPeace being done by 20 Bhuddist Monks and their companion pup Aloka from Texas to Washington. Every video I watch brings me close to tears because they fully understand what's happening politically and what's at stake.

Can’t stop thinking about the monks walking 2,300 miles barefoot from Texas to the White House. No chanting, no protests—just a quiet walk for peace. Seeing strangers feed them, walk with them & their care for them… honestly, it’s restored a bit of my faith in humanity 🤍

The Walk for Peace strolled by a couple miles from my place today so I went on down there and the monks rested and spoke to us about mindfulness, peace, and meditation. They are walking from Texas to DC.

I know nothing about Monks, but what I do know is in the 30 seconds it took them to walk by, I felt a calm, peaceful feeling that IMO, is extremely hard to find these days. It was a very moving experience, please see/support them if you can. #WalkForPeace #peace #lovingkindness
