We have been really busy this past week. Yesterday we processed another 3 applications to the charity providing grants for Christmas for 2 families whose children have brain cancer and one child who wanted special trainers. Daniel loved fashion and would’ve approved 🥰.

Today we provided funding for travel costs to a family with a child dealing with leukaemia and frequent hospital visits. Pls Christmas isn’t the most wonderful time of the year for many families coping with a cancer diagnosis, treatment and sometimes grief at this time of year🎗

Today we sent a new laptop and a climbing frame/swing set to two children being treated for cancer at the RHC in Glasgow. Thank you for allowing our charity to help families facing such difficult circumstances #doingitfordaniel 💛🎗

Today we helped 4 young people with cancer in Aberdeen, Stirling and Glasgow. An iPad for one and grants for the others. All gifts from our incredible boy who desperately wanted to get better and run his charity himself. Sending huge love to these incredible young people 💛🎗

A massive thanks from all Doing it for Daniel Foundation to Baillie Boy and GHA Rugby Club for their brilliant work in raising over £1800 for our charity at their Burns Supper night last week. It’s greatly appreciated and will help so many children with a cancer diagnosis in Scotland.

Friday is check in day for our families at Daniel's Beach House. Afterwards we always have a walk on the beach to remember our beautiful Daniel. Everything we do is a promise to our boy. Be kind, have fun and enjoy every minute. Life is such a precious gift. We love you Daniel 💚

Today while we enjoyed Daniel's memorial garden we processed two applications. One for much needed clothes for a little boy and the other to fund a shopping trip for a teenager who has a break in her cancer treatment. Tomorrow we check another family into Daniel's Beach House💛🎗️

During the past week we sent 5 grants out - 3 to young adults at the Beatson and 2 to the families of little ones at the RHC in Glasgow. We hope it helps as they all try to cope with their different cancer journeys. Daniel’s Beach House has been fully booked this summer too 💛🎗️

To mark Daniel’s 21st birthday Doing it for Daniel Foundation aims to raise £21,000 which will be donated to ICR High Grade Glioma Lab in London. Scientists there carry out much needed research to try and find treatment options for young people with brain cancer justgiving.com/page/alison-ca…

We have managed to make a £21,000 contribution to mark Daniel’s 21st birthday for research for children with high grade brain cancer. This cancer is the biggest cancer killer of children. Professor Jones and his team at the ICR in Sutton are working to change this.
