When you throw a ball at a wall, you can be sure it will bounce back at you. You would be extremely surprised if the ball suddenly appeared on the other side of the wall. In quantum mechanics this type of phenomenon is called tunnelling and is exactly the type of phenomenon that

We need larger, cohesive hubs of research, global communities in single places. Europe has the huge advantage of being geographically dense and having a socioeconomic system that encourages frictionless exchange. I don’t think ELLIS is sufficient.

🥳 Accepted at SIMBIOCHEM EurIPS Conference 2025! We embed a dynamical system simulating vapor compression cycles in a RLFT pipeline and train Refgen, our generative model for sustainable refrigerant molecules 🌎🌱 and we are far from done, but the initial feedback is good!

Europe Builds. Others Profit. 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) is the perfect case study. It reflects both Europe’s brilliance and its chronic inability to turn that brilliance into business. Almost everything that made 3DGS possible was born in Europe. From the early breakthroughs
