On this day last year, I got a first responder alert on my phone asking me to go to a critical call. It came through as a 3-year old cardiac arrest. I was there in minutes. The call was wrong. It wasn't a 3-year old cardiac arrest. It was a 2-year old. Drowning.

Just realised that it’s #internationaldogday so I’ll share a pic of this rascal. Breagha the rescue Rommie has been with us for 3 and a half years and has enriched our lives beyond measure.

Can’t remember where I saw this but it appealed to my sense of humour.

I listened to PM this evening expecting a fulsome tribute to Lord Bragg and got it I also expected to hear Melvis and didn’t. I do hope that he has genuinely left ‘In Our Time’ for his own reasons and nobody else’s. Either way, thanks to him from me and my late mother.

First time with a club in my hands for four months. And it showed. (No change there 🙄). But far outweighed by the absolute joy of playing over the West Links ⁦North Berwick Golf Club⁩ on a lovely autumn afternoon. I never forget what a privilege it is to be able to play here.
