It's National HIV Testing Week! What better way to kick things off than seeing Gareth Thomas and The Duke of Sussex talk about normalising HIV testing and effective treatment. 👏 RT to raise awareness about the importance of knowing your status. #HIVTestWeek [The Royal Family]

BREAKING: Health Secretary Matt Hancock has announced #PrEP WILL be uncapped in England. This is an important moment in the fight against HIV. Roll-out must now happen rapidly so no one is left behind. This is a victory years in the making. Thank you for standing with us.

I am looking to recruit gay/bi/MSM men for online audio interviews on attitudes to PrEP for my PhD. Interviews last 30-60 mins in return for a £10 amazon voucher. Must be living in UK. Please share/ask around if you can! Thanks #gay #bi #hiv #PrEP #research #phdlife #phdchat

Thanks so much to everyone who helped me recruit during my 1st PhD study. A special thanks to Dr. Juliet Wakefield Emma Rowley and @arc_em for their help and valuable connections during recruitment! I will be forever grateful 😊

This #WorldAIDSDay acknowledging our collective responsibility to tackle #HIV stigma is crucial. If somebody is living with HIV and their viral load is undetectable, HIV cannot be transmitted. Education is key to eradicating HIV stigma. #UequalsU

promoting HIV testing for all because of increasing infections among heterosexuals does not downplay the fact that MSM remain at greatest risk of seroconversion but addresses years of gay-specific messaging that has fostered a sense of social immunity to HIV among heterosexuals.

A “virtual coffee” with Dan Griffiths talking about all things PhD and PrEP was a great way to spend a break away from work. Cheers to making friends that make the PhD journey that little bit less scary and isolating ☕️😌 #AcademicChatter #phdchat

It was really nice to share some initial findings from my qualitative study of my PhD at #ICSIH5 Primary findings suggest education is at the heart of improving attitudes to #PrEP

We need to talk about group processes in health interventions. Slides from #ICSIH5 : Alex Haslam the centrality of social connectedness to health; Laura Hollands and @marktarrant_91 on impact of group processes on outcomes; Tegan Cruwys on convincing public health sector.

This #WorldAIDSDay, I’m reflecting on the AIDS crisis, thinking of those we lost & those that deserve gratitude yet often experience erasure. HIV stigma is rife both in LGBTQIA+ & wider populations. To reduce stigma, we need to push for increased #HIVAwareness e.g., #UequalsU
