Day 10: Locked down "Generate New Options" button during AI generation state and disabled cursor during save to prevent race conditions. Closed all tickets. 22 total. Actually proud of myself right now. Break time, then back to studying and leetcode. #100DaysOfCode #RoadToNetflix

So not only do I have to get my skills up for #Githubuniverse next year but I gotta get them up for a job(which I needed last month). Also eslint, WHAT THE HELL 💀

Day 13: Flipped on ESLint and NOPE. Ran errors through Claude to speed up fix and dumby head caused a circular dependency in the useCallback hooks. Caught it during backend testing and found I needed to switch the OpenAI key...what a night. #100DaysOfCode #RoadToNetflix

"This is the decision I woke up with this morning" 💯 It's time to get back to engineering with great teams again. Three years ago, I left Google to teach and to coach during a time when many were getting into software engineering with big dreams—but little reliable leadership.

Day 14: Java fundamentals. Basics of Class, object orientation, how methods run, variables and datatypes and some more. Going to get my hands dirty with a simple app this week. I already built a pokedex with Kaggle data. #RoadToNetflix #100DaysOfCode

a. pay attention to meaning, filter out noise b. put your head down and work c. take advantage of gold rush moments/sectors To navigate implies you won't be able to just walk forward to the goal. Like a good running back, you may need to stop, turn, duck, dodge, push, accelerate

Morning isn’t bad. Woke up at 6. Took everyone where they needed to be. Read to many post about the job market and ai. Was doing my 10 minute jump rope routine to get day started and then I couldn’t find the rhythm so I broke it in frustration. Lesson: I need a new jump rope.

After a round of rejection emails this afternoon including one I was really hoping I would be picked for…. I have a choice. To be sorry for myself for the millionth time or to be the engineer I know I am and can be. I chose the latter. I’ll make them proud!

Day 15: Helped someone get their backend environment set up so they can see their first code in action. Love IntelliJ IDEA, a JetBrains IDE but set up is verbose (probably because I set it once and never touch it again 🤣). Then React fundamentals after. #100DaysOfCode #RoadToNetflix

8 months?! Congrats KK I was literally fired from a job I was given an offer for, the same day I started because I logged in from Toronto. So 3 months do far for me. Ok back to code.

Day 16: Shipped global TopBar with responsive nav, section sidebar with progress indicators, and fixed data persistence bugs. Zustand as session cache, 0 API calls for nav, instant UX, backend stays source of truth. Clean separation of concerns. #RoadToNetflix #100DaysOfCode

I had to take a break today. I feel bad for it but needed it. Job apps, played plumber today with clogged sink for 2.5 hours. Accomplished. Then pizza making with kids. Then trick or treating. Then MLB with wife. Tomorrow back on it like I never left. ✌️

I'm pleased to announce that before I take my son to his friends birthday party I've decided to dive into the wondrous world of system design. I have truly fallen off the deep end and no longer care about my own sanity. Oddly enough it don't seem that bad or I love misery.
