Day 2 at #PLM14 don’t miss the Papalopulu Lab work on oscillatory dynamics presented by myself (poster 5) and spatio-temporal patterning by Joshua Hawley (poster 21) DevBioManchester Wellcome
Introducing the Metzis lab: Development & Genomics group opening soon Imperial College London MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) We study how cellular diversity arises during development Many thanks to the The Royal Society and Wellcome for funding metzislab.org
Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask about the regulatory landscapes of developmental genes Poster from Christopher Chase Bolt & Denis Duboule dev.biologists.org/content/147/3/…
Latest preprint by Tom Minchington @samgriffjon decomposes gene regulation into simple motifs showing that dual feedback motifs (auto-regulatory TF+microRNA) are prevalent and thus could drive dynamic expression in many genes found in human. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Come work with us StAndrews Mathbio! To add to Mark's comment, our interests also include #devbio, computational #multiscale modelling and many others! @StA_Maths_Stats is a vibrant community and supportive environment - apply before 30 March for this fantastic opportunity!
At the beginning of the lockdown, our postdoc Caroline Hoppe was named one of the winners of the #eBSDBimages competition that was part of the online #BSDBGenSoc2020 conference. We love that image, well done!
Exciting #PhDposition in my lab at Universität Bern to study how organs reach the right size! We combine quantitative live #imaging of #Celegans, #genetics, and computational approaches. Check towbinlab.org or DM me for more info. Please RT! tinyurl.com/ycmc6hyq
Exciting new preprint from the Papalopulu Lab showing social distancing can give rise to motor neurons. Not just endless zoom calls.
Excited to see that my first, first-author paper with @samgriffjon and Papalopulu Lab is now out! Do you work on dynamically expressed proteins? Probably. Check to see if your favourite transcriptional regulator features in our results. nature.com/articles/s4159…
I gave a talk on how #Celegans reaches the right #size at the online Cell Size and Growth seminar yesterday. A recording of it is available for two weeks. Big thanks to Jan Skotheim Matthew Swaffer and Mike Lanz for organizing this fantastic series!
