On one side the government is saying that there is shortage of doctors and opening new medical colleges to increase number of doctors and other side the health department doesn’t have enough money to pay doctors and terminating their services. These doctors have been working

This is the condition of Government Medical College, Dholpur. Even after scoring 625 marks in NEET-UG, the MBBS students here don’t even have basic facilities like electricity in their hostels. They have to wait for 2-3 days just to bathe. This is horrifying. This is injustice

#MedTwitter Should Medical teaching also have a rotating type of posting system wherein students can do observerships under private practitioners and get some sort of credit hours; will this help students choose subjects better wrt pg? Is this thought a figment of imagination?

Around 500 qualified doctors vying for just 40 Junior Resident seats at DDU Hospital, Delhi. Berozgari ka haal dekho... MBBS ab BTech ban gaya hai. This is the grim reality for young doctors in India. #DoctorsCrisis

1. Disproportionate increase in number of UG seats- a lot, and trust me, a LOT of new medical colleges have been opened in the last 10 years. When prestigious govt institutes are struggling to hire faculty, what hope do these new colleges have to get good teachers?
