Soldiers from Strike BCT , 101st_Lifeliners , Wings of Destiny and across the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) are on their way to support the people of Asheville, NC and the surrounding area. Working with the NC National Guard , FEMA and XVIII Airborne Corps & Fort Bragg in their relief efforts.

Paratroopers from 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade and 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division are actively supporting relief and recovery efforts to areas affected by Hurricane Helene. We are extremely proud of what our Paratroopers are doing to assist our fellow citizens of N.C. #AATW


As the Department of Defense 🇺🇸 continues to stay fully engaged with @FEMA and the whole-of-government relief efforts related to Hurricane Helene, we thank the Guardsmen and active-duty service members providing capabilities that best support needs on the ground.



Today, approximately 5,000 National Guardsmen from 19 states continue to support #Helene relief efforts, while ~5,000 FloridaNationalGuard members are on duty preparing for Hurricane Milton’s landfall.


In addition to the Department of Defense 🇺🇸's continued efforts to aid Hurricane Helene recovery efforts, we have begun preparations to respond to Hurricane Milton, providing capabilities that best support those needs as identified by the Governors in each of the affected states.

I spoke with Rustem Umerov to discuss U.S. support for Ukraine. We discussed the situation along the front lines and the international coalition’s continued support for Ukraine. The U.S. remains committed to providing the support 🇺🇦 needs to be successful on the battlefield.
