Feel for Pry. Really likable guy who definitely wanted what was best for VT. Had his hands tied in some aspects but just couldn’t overcome the challenges, and it’s apparent he’s lost some of the team. They don’t seem to play hard for him. Hope it works out at his next stop.

Virginia Tech can win at football. They have a good fanbase, they care, but now the administration has to show they care. They need to do a complete overhaul in resource spending, revenue generation, and football investment.

The BOV meeting is happening and I expect our AD to resign. Cool… that’s fine. But I want John Ballein out the second that happens. Sever all ties. Page one re-write. New blood with competent leadership and no old stains.

Great guy, but the change was absolutely necessary. Sucks that it came to this, but here we are. This most likely isn't the only major news that will drop in the next few weeks, either. Massive changes for Virginia Tech athletics going forward. John Rocovich quietly doing work.

The last time VT was hiring - and it was in a better place then - numerous candidates turned it down. From multiple sources I’ve talked to, if Hokies want to land someone good (and with prior HC experience) there will almost certainly need to be serious changes beyond Pry.

I love MV7 as much as the next guy, but this is the most critical hire Virginia Tech will ever make. You can’t afford to bet on another inexperienced head coach just because they have ties to the program. You have to get a proven winner with P4 experience.

VT just fired a head coach that went undefeated against their in-state rival during his tenure as a head coach. 3 games into the season. What a sport College Football is.

Turned 31 years old today and Brent Pry has been relieved as well as other optimistic changes to come. I’ll remember this day forever lol
