When you have alcoholics being used on TV to oppose the bill abt pubs opening for an extra hour & clubs opening later so adults can dance, it feels sensationalist to make this simply about access to alcohol. The access is always there. This is about time rather than volume.

We need to have a serious national conversation about why character references carry more weight than the testimonies of women. If you continue to beat someone who's on the ground, and go on to boast about beating them on social media, it ceases to be "out of character" surely.
