As part of the project Development of the Monitoring Station for migratory fish: sturgeon and pontic shad - Isaccea (ANADROM), other 5,000 young of the year Russian sturgeons (4 month-and-a- half old) were released today, September 14, 2023, in the Danube, near Isaccea.

Today was the official opening of the International Conference "Water Resources and Wetlands" (limnology.ro/wrw2023/progra… ), organized by the Romanian Association of Limnogeography in collaboration with the "Danube Delta" National Institute for Research and Development (DDNI).

Between September 13 - 15, 2023, researchers from DDNI Tulcea participated in the launch conference of the "Restore4Life" project in Bucharest. Our colleagues actively participated in the workshops and presented the "EcoDALLi" project (ecodalli.eu ).

International Day of Forests is celebrated on March 21. The UN General Assembly declared the celebration of this day starting with 2013, to raise awareness of the management, conservation and sustainable development of forests, for the benefit of present and future generations.

Today, a workshop dedicated to the problems of the Razelm-Sinoie lagoon system and ways to solve them was held at the DDNI Tulcea headquarters. Solutions were proposed and debated to improve the state of the lagoon environment and return to a healthy and productive environment.

Yesterday, March 21, 2024, at the workshop within the Danube4All project, the activities and objectives of the EcoDALLi project (ddni.ro/wps/ro/ecodall… , CSA - coordination and support) and the Danube and Black Sea Lighthouse synergies were presented.

On August 29, 2024, as part of the Danube Delta Summer School, organized by DDNI Tulcea in collaboration with the International Association for Danube Research (IAD), over 30 participants from eight countries came together for a significant beach cleanup at Sulina coastal area.

DDNI Tulcea, coordinator of the project IASON+ organizes between 25 - 26.09.2024, the "Kick-Off Meeting" event - the first meeting organized within the consortium. The project is financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-B mechanism, NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.

DDNI Tulcea team participated in Batumi, Georgia at the Kick-off Meeting in CARE-SEA ”Cooperation and Awareness for Pollution-free and Environmentally Sustainable Black Sea”, Project Code BSB00559, financed by European Union - Interreg VI-B, NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.
