The East African🇨🇩🇰🇪🇹🇿🇺🇬 women led indigenous People's assembly that brought 13 indigenous communities together in Ogiek Peoples' Dev. Program (OPDP) cultural center was a success. it ended with traversing the beautiful,thick Mau forest which the Ogiek people have been calling Home for generations.

Last week our theatre Unit Social Justice Travelling Theatre took part in the East African women led indigenous People's assembly in Ogiek Peoples' Dev. Program (OPDP) . The assembly brought about 13 indigenous communities to discuss and form a united alliance that will put the Indigenous people's struggle forward.

The police Blocked us from Organising Kamukunji People's Assembly.the state says that the word "Occupy" is illigall but it didn't stop us from talking with our people in Kamukunji. We must build power from below. Occupy!! Occupy!! Occupy!! Social Justice Travelling Theatre @yclleague_kenya

Yesterday we had an interactive session on theatre for Transformation with Dr. Rama Mani and Prof. Alexander Schieffer of HomesforHumanity .we discussed on the power of Art in leading the one home Journey to transform our divided world into a home for humanity #UnivEarthsity

We did a powerful legislative theatre performance today during the International Waste pickers day that reflected the real struggle of Households and landfill waste pickers. The play highlighted the need of waste pickers to be recognised as workers for a just transitions.
