Glad to see so many people get this right. The legal status of drugs has little to nothing to do with the dangers associated with them. “Drugs aren’t illegal because they are dangerous. They are dangerous because they are illegal” david poses

Looking for a book to read to get a better understanding of addiction and the Opioid crisis? I recommend “The Weight of Air” by David Posses We have had the author on the “Don’t Hide the Scars” podcast & his insight is like none you may have ever heard before david poses

Congratulations to david poses, author of The Weight of Air! His talk with Landmark Recovery was named a Top 5 Recovery Podcast Episode of 2021. Listen to David and Zach Crouch HERE: landmarkrecovery.com/top-5-recovery… #mentalhealth #opioidcrisis #Buprenorphine #addictionrecovery

The psych ward was devoid of normalcy. I didn’t see my kids, wasn’t allowed outside; had no privacy or freedom; no music, friends, phone, internet/email; couldn’t decide when or what to eat, sleep; not a cup of water without permission. That’s not helpful. It’s traumatizing.

Psych ward switched ALL my meds; withheld Bupe for days & cut dose; added Effexor (making me feel crazy); released me to Hazelden Betty Ford prog bc of my history but this is about depression, not drugs (like that book—the something of air?) I was/am ravenous to be loved up at home

#Music plays an important role in The Weight of Air, david poses’s true story about #mentalhealth, addiction, and recovery. 🎵 Bonus! David made a soundtrack on Apple Music. LISTEN HERE: music.apple.com/us/playlist/th…. #addiction #recovery #harmreduction #wedorecover

Anyone else, who normally doesn’t read much, start reading books this January? My reading appetite has increased by 200% this winter. Finally, my embarrassingly tall book pile of “I’ll read this one day” is beginning to shrink! Currently: “The Weight of Air” by david poses

Facts Chaser 🌎 🤦🏻‍♂️ Craig digi god The Daily Beast michael daly There is a book by david poses about his experiences and about how to address drug use in general. Starting with the idea that people often use drugs for the kind of reasons you describe.
