This Thursday's rough weather forced some seabirds to refuge in the bays and rivers of the Basque Country. In Hondarribia we had some 13 leach's and 2 european sp, 2 guillemots, at least 7 little gulls and 2 kittiwakes, among tens of mediterranean gulls.

In mid-April I went to the central region of Spain (Extremadura, Salamanca & Zamora) and I had a great time birding with some friends of mine with a Bonaparte's Gull as the highlight of the trip, the 1st record for Castilla y León. Also many other cool birds!

I spent the last week with some friends in the mountain of León, birdwatching and enjoying the landscapes. The stars of the trip were 3 gray partridges, nests of wallcreepers, rufous-tailed r-t and white-winged snowfinches.

Quiet September in Txingudi, with a Fea's petrel the 1st as a highlight. Also a BW kite, a temminck's stint and 4 RC Pochard. Also an incredible record passage of 8 Montagu's harriers the 6th. When It comes to passerines nothing rare but very good migrant fallouts.
