It was a lovely spring day at Tarrant Rushton airfield near Blandford, Dorset today. There is so much history here, including parts of the original runway, service roads, hangers, and dispersement areas. With its public access, it's always worth a visit.

It's really sad to hear of the death of Val Kilmer, such a great actor. I grew up watching his superb movies. While most concentrate on his fantastic Iceman role in Top Gun. For me, it was in Heat and Tombstone that he was at his best. RIP

So that's it, we're pulling them out. It was Nijmegen. It was the single road getting to Nijmegen. No, it was after Nijmegen. And the fog, in England. Doesn't matter what it was. When one man says to another, 'I know what, let's play the war game'. Everybody dies....

Just met David Dickinson, who found Jim Reynolds’ ID Card on Tumbledown, close to where Jim was killed during #Falklands War, 1982. It was added to his medals at Regimental HQ Scots Guards, today.
