If President Trump can wrongly deport a Maryland father to a prison in El Salvador and then defy a 9-0 Supreme Court order to facilitate bringing him home, who’s next? This threatens the rights and freedoms of everyone in the United States.

This man is governing as if his faction will never, ever lose power. Yet every power he unlocks for himself he unlocks for his opponents. He's not "winning." He's opening America to an unsustainable pattern of mutual destruction and vengeance.

What incredible bad faith. There are a million things short of invasion that can be done to bring him home, including -- I don't know -- making a formal request to the president of El Salvador and withholding the millions we've pledged to him if he doesn't comply?
