Imo Canada is broken because it keeps addressing things that people don't care about. Money spent on pet projects with lack of transparency & luxurious spending by govt officials when the typical Canadian is struggling with housing costs & food inflation is a huge problem 🤦

So many govt pet projects, so many luxurious spends, so much inefficient bureaucracy, the budget watchdog said this is unsustainable. youtu.be/DrzdAVcaRbw?si…

Frankly people will be lucky to have a sit down seat. In a world where people want to pay less and less, airlines are looking at standing seats now for coach.

Why is it that so many car share drivers either seem like they are driving for the first time or are playing Need For Speed irl? facebook.com/share/r/1BSxsn…

Foreign students were a huge source of income even when I went to university. Over 37 yrs I've seen my local university go from a basic underfunded institution to a mini city more dialed in than the city it sits in. But like narcotics the habit/dependence was harmful in the end

The US reshoring continues. Like my biz mentor said, be capable of doing everything yourself because if you have to hire out, you could be crippled by someone else not playing along. Moral of the story, we depended too much on foreign $ for our economic growth.

Just went to the Spirit store for after Halloween sales. The place was dead and so many items I would never hope to be available until the sale, were there. This is the state of the Canadian economy that people don't have extra money to spend discretionary.

At this time of year I reflect on how the security & freedoms we have here (while many places worldwide are at war or under tyranny) came at a deep cost of Canadian lives. "Let's fight for the right to be Canadian." - Gordon Quan

There have been groups presumably hired to downplay the concerns about the Cowichan precedent case ruling. This is a pretty straightforward summary of the concern youtu.be/5-f5WbosxP4?si…

Governance is all about politics & power brokering now. There are dark things in the budget sandwiched inside good things, there are backroom deals, & MP's seem to be considering their future over what the people voted them in to do. Change guided by a moral compass is needed now

David Chen, concerned citizen 陳冠余 (@davidchentweets) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Surviving a close vote doesn't mean you won, it is a litmus test telling you that you are losing touch with the people. If you have the pulse of the people, you should win by a landslide. 😉

I know what it is like to build a business from nothing in a sea of competition. I also empathize when in the depths of despair, one makes the decision to put pride aside & do everything possible to save the family business. I love donair

As someone I know who has high level security clearance in another country, the CCP can never be trusted to have anyone but their own interests at stake.

So much spin doctoring going around at all levels of govt. So many unintended consequences because ulterior motives don't think things through. Everything looks like lies. You are making conspiracy theorists look great now. Old saying, the truth shall set you free 🤣

David Chen, concerned citizen 陳冠余 (@davidchentweets) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This is what happens when virtue doesn't think things through. Unintended consequences will affect all. The way forward is co-existence not the path we are on.

When I ran in 2018, I said driverless ride hail was 10 years away at best. 2020 Waymo launched their robo taxi. Now in 2025 this shot illustrates the coming end to people driven ride hail. #DisruptiveTechnology

I reflect on the richness I'm blessed with having friends and family around me. I remember years past being alone in a movie theatre waiting for the season to pass. I still felt richer than those who didn't have a roof over their head. Peace, Merry Christmas & happy holidays 🙏

Happy New Year everyone! May 2026 be an amazing year for you. I spent the evening meeting and getting to know interesting people and being part of a tradition that spans centuries. We are stronger as people together than as individuals divided.
