.Peter Aldous says 3 issues need to be addressed: 1) pay gap between schools and colleges needs to be addressed 2) Colleges are disadvantaged when it comes to VAT - and the funds that would release could be re-invested 3) Funding for tuition fund needs to be extended

Lots of good meetings with MPs at #LabourConference24 today, including with @JoWhite_MP and Toby Perkins MP. College lecturer pay, qualification reform and lots of other important things to discuss!
And we held a really interesting fringe session at the Skills Hub on the role of colleges in delivering the government's five missions. Great to have Steve Rotheram, Sam Rushworth MP & Qasim Hussain from NUS on the panel.
