Made it back home to DC! About 10 min after this picture was taken, Noah cut his hand on something sharp, bleeding all over the place. Then on the drive home both kids got carsick and threw up. This current season is the toughest stretch of parenting I've been through so far.

Laid up in bed with a bad ulcerative colitis flare. What would make this better? A tornado warning centered directly on where I live.

After a far too ambitious travel day we made it where we were going in France. My body has no idea what time it is and I took a French Dramamine yesterday that was really just like 100mg of Benadryl but the kids got to feed goats this morning.

Haven't been posting much, I've been dealing with a chronic illness. But I'm hanging in there. One day at a time. Thanks to my doctors and a course of steroids I'm able to be abroad for a family trip to France but I'm anxious for the city, DC, that is my home. Stay strong.

Fun fact: there's paramedics stationed at the Eiffel Tower at all times. I know this because at lunch our two year old shoved a pea so far up his nose we needed them to get it out.
